As a person with Celiac Disease, anytime I can find a place that is dedicated gluten free, I try to go if I am able. We traveled to northern Indiana and southwest Michigan for a weekend and I found Saturday Sangria! I had a cinnamon roll, chocolate cupcake and a chocolate peppermint latte. Everything was delicious and did not taste like it was gluten free!!! I wish I lived closer so that I could visit more often!

I can’t say enough good things about Saturday Sangria! A couple of weeks ago, I stopped in and mentioned to Janice, the owner, that I loved wedding cake flavor. To my surprise and delight, she actually made wedding cake–flavored vanilla almond cupcakes! They were absolutely incredible. I should have purchased several. I also tried a yellow cake cookie crumble cupcake, and it was pure perfection. Both had a soft, tender crumb and just the right touch of sweetness in the frosting. You can really taste the love and creativity in everything Janice makes. This bakery is such a gem. I’m already looking forward to my next visit, and I know what I want for my birthday cake. Thank you, Janice!
